Climate
The weather in Saskatoon is generally dry and sunny. Summer daytime temperatures range from 20°C to 35°C (68°F to 100°F). Evenings are cool, requiring a light sweater or jacket. Winter temperatures vary from +5°C to -30°C (40°F to -35°F). Average annual rainfall of 265mm ensures lush gardens, parks, and golf courses. In winter, snowfall is sufficient to encourage many winter sports.
Currency Exchange
The currency system is based on Canadian dollars and cents. U.S. currency can be exchanged at any bank, credit union or trust company. Most businesses accept U.S. currency at the current exchange rate.
Liquor Laws
The minimum age for consumption of alcohol in Saskatchewan is 19 years. Alcohol, beer and wine are sold in government liquor stores and cold beer and wine stores in several locations throughout the city. Restaurants are licensed to serve alcoholic beverages.

Tourism Saskatoon is open to serve visitors and residents Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm at the main office on Idylwyld Drive and 24th Street (in the old CP Rail station). From mid-May through Labour Day, hours are 8:30am–7:00pm Monday–Friday and 10am–7:00pm weekends and holidays.
A Seasonal Tourism Saskatoon Visitor Reception Centre is open daily from mid-May to September from 10:00am–7:00pm seven days a week, and is located at Avenue C North and 47th Street West.
